Pictures and A O Hell!

Last night I was ready to throw this computer out of the window. I was trying to upload a few photos into my Journal page and at every screen AOL kept dropping me back to a Google page. It was driving me mad and took soooooo long!!!!

In the end I was falling asleep whilst waiting for the pages to change, so didn’t insert all the ones I wanted, one of them being this.

My little smiley pumpkin, Isabella.  How can anything be that bad when this greets you, first thing in the morning.

I was too tired to put the rest of the photos at the top. I know some of my friends and family, who live abroad, like to see lots of photos, so they can see what’s going on at home. So that's what this entry is for.

I had to go for a Bone Density Scan this afternoon, I get the results next week.

I’m feeling bits depressed now, as I don’t think the results are going to be good. Mum has Osteoporosis and I have a lot of back pain if I’m on my feet for more than an hour. I had an almighty shock when they measured my height today. I had an idea I’d lost some height but thought maybe it’s just that I tend to wear flatter shoes these days. No. That was not the answer. I am shorter, a lot shorter. I used to be 5 foot 7 and a half inches tall. Today I was 5 foot 6 inches. I’m only 53; if I carry on at this rate I’ll be 4 foot be the time I reach 65!

Still I don't suppose the depression will last too long, how can it when I'm married to this?

Catherine in France, don't you wish you'd been here?

Emma, if you look at the pictures at the top you'll see your mum in the same wig, it's not a good look!

It's well and truly dark now and its only quarter to six.I think I shall go and bung the dinner in the oven and we'll go to our local pub for a pint and a chat before dinner. Have to while away these long dark evenings somehow.

When I had my bone density test it was so much worse then the first one I had.  They say you have the greatest bone loss the first 5 years after menopause.  So, I read Strong Women stay Young and started doing light weight lifting and increased my walking.  I take 1200 mg of calcium a day.  I expect to wow them at my next scan.  Good luck to you.  Ain't getting older just so much fun.

Oh Linda, The pictures are great. You are so lucky in your extended family! I hope the test results are good. I think I will have the same trouble in a few years time. I never get enough calcium!

The photos are great.  You have a lovely family.  I hope your daughter didn't have to pay excess luggage charges for all those new clothes for the baby.
Don't talk to me about uploading photos, you know what a genius I am at it.
About your height, I think the best way to look at it is that you have lost weight from your feet and you have deflated an inch that way.
Thanks for the comfort about Billy.

awwwwwwwwwww.....your little punkin is sooooooooo sweet! I think we all lose some height as we age...My mama use to be about 5'7 and now she is about 2 or 3 inches shorter than me,...and I am 5'6 ( or use to be!) lol (I think they just found a name for what causes it! lol)
Everything will be ok!

Love the picture of Mike in the black wig, and the one of Isabella with Madge is absolutely beautiful.    We must get together soon, or it will be Christmas.   We don't want to be having our Christmas lunch in March again!!!   Sue

Your pictures are wonderful!  I just love Isabella's costume.  What a cutie she is!  Precious, precious baby girl!  How you must love being married to a character like Mr. Ravenlocks there!  He just makes me smile and smile!  Yes!  His locks would be wonderful for a Guy Fawkes dummy.  Such a handsome man!

Mustn't worry too much about the bone scan.  You might be pleasantly surprised.  Just keep very active and eat right and all should be fine.  Remember, your mother was raised in a different generation that you, when food supplies were not as plentiful as today.  I bet she lived through the war, when food was rationed. Please let us know the results when they come in, sweetie!

Love,

Susie
